Wow. Thank you, Joyce, for staying up so late to get us up to speed. May our Country live up to its long-held belief that no one is above the law.

I’m only up still because my paramedic daughter took the LSAT and scores come out at 6am tomorrow. She thrives on the promise of the adventures that await her. 🤞🏽🎉

Thank you for this. That photo of top secret materials (my blood pressure is rising) in the same space as framed magazine covers is a look inside a careless, nefarious mind.

That photo. Words fail me.

I can't believe I'm still up, but totally worth it to read your recap. Thank you for putting together all this information in such a cogent fashion Making sense to people whose brains are crashing is an exemplary gift. I feel like I'm ready for the fallout tomorrow, now that understand the gist of the matter.

Wow. What a smack in the jaw. It’s no wonder few (or any) competent lawyer(s) should/would think twice before representing him. The classified markings on those docs send chills down my spine just thinking of the brave people who may have given their lives to obtain the info therein. SMH. Thanks again, Joyce!

Does this make you wonder what might be at his other residences? How do we know he didn't make copies of all these top secret documents?

That's a good thought, Colleen! While Trump may have been too lazy/mob-oriented to make copies himself, someone else could have with or without Trump's direction.

It seems clear that DOJ is prepared for the nonsense they are having to endure and that makes me happy. They seem to have a good team in front of this matter and the sources to back them up. That is a relief. As so many others have noted the manner in which the Top Secret and similar documents were treated is stunning. I used to hold a clearance and it is amazing to me to see the cartoonish level of disregard the former guy displayed towards the protection of these documents, even in managing them for his own purposes. ‘Sorry about the ketchup stains, Vlad, but I had to use something as a napkin”. I didn’t this I could despise him and his team more; turns out I can. Thank you for delivering another great primer. You are the Richard Feynman of legal matters, a great explainer.

Being on the West Coast I was still up and able to hear the news in real time while folks read parts of the response on air. But Joyce's recap brings it all together. Just jaw dropping. Two points - All those who criticized the DOJ for taking so long to act on this; turns out the wait gave Trump (and perhaps his attorneys) more rope to hang themselves. Point number two - does anyone else find it troubling that some of these docs were found with his passports? Did they travel together to another country? The thought turns my stomach.

As a retired public employee, if I had taken anything that belonged to the State I would have been FIRED and possibly lose my pension. I wait for the day trump and his minions taken away in handcuffs.... If that doesn't happen there is no justice...
