What a charming homestead! It's lovely to know that happy animals and a keen legal mind live in harmony and support one another.

Stay safe!

Love, love, love the juxtaposition of Trump’s chaos and the simple joys if living authentically.

Take care! Tell the pup it's just noise (mostly). Good thing she's just a little lap dog.

Two of the German Shepherds I had over the years were also terrified of thunderstorms. My Toby dog would climb into the bathtub until it was over. Actually - that might have been the safest place!!!

Wishing safety for you and everyone there.

Speaking of recusal, there's a terrific letter for readers to sign. It's to Chief Justice Robert urging Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from Trump's cases. Worth reading and signing. It's written by Lawyers Defending American Democracy. https://ldad.org/letters-briefs/justice-thomas

I'm in the path of the storm, too...tornado warning until 2 AM in East TN. I've tucked everyone away and gave the cows an extra bale of hay. Hope everything is ok for us both in the morning. Take care!

You are the best sending us pictures and highlights of the afternoon.

I had a greyhound named Mollie who would go into the master bedroom closet and face the wall for every thunderstorm. Don’t know what a pup Cup is but Bella looks happy. You are so lucky that Bella and Tofu

don’t fight like cats and dogs. I think I ate the same thing for breakfast as the chickens had this afternoon.

Do you have a basement to go to? Stay safe.

@ Tina. I learn something new everyday. Thanks for letting me know

My mom used to buy the dogs a soft serve ice cream cone when they drove to the country through New Vienna, OH (in the family convertible, top down) in Southern Ohio❤️. And yes, they were German shepherds and they, too, were severely affected by extreme weather😢.

We used to let our Golden Retriever est the last of our DQ cones. I now have a Wheaten Terrier who is totally unaffected by storms or fireworks but who hates to ride in cars UNLESS her sweet dog sitter takes her to S-bucks for a Puppacino!

I might have to get a pup cup for me, myself and I.

Glad to hear that you are battening down the hatches and the chickens. Hope the storms pass you by!

The bigger the dog, the more inclined he is to think he's a lapdog! Your garden is lovely. May the weather indeed be much ado about nothing!
