Had some aches and fatigue the next day along with the usual sore arm. But much better than last time. It’s really important that everyone get a flu shot as the flu strain this year is reported to be a bad one. RSV is hitting children much earlier and harder than normal too. A Covid, flu, and RSV infection combo is not what you want for you or your family. So spread the word and vaccinate.
LOL I'd say this is a bit more than "a little less substantive," every bit of which I appreciate. Maybe lawyers are helplessly substantive. Thank you, as usual, for covering it all!
Thank you Joyce! I hope those witches are conjuring up a reproductive rights celebration! I thank all for the efforts put forth on this issue as well as others. Calendar is full this week. Phone banking to all I can, talking up issues(I am in a crazy red state) and taking much inspiration from Pres. Obama, who was ON FIRE this weekend. Election night I will host an adults drinking party in my not-so-drinking-state living room. Admission by I VOTED stickers to watch the returns. Thank you for getting your flu shot! My daughter and I just finished filling out our ballots. We review the candidates, judges, and measures on the ballot and make our decisions. It’s a real kitchen table political conversation. I love it every time. Here’s hoping we collectively save democracy. I’ll knit and wait.

The interesting part or not will be his testimony. I am scheduled to get the newest Covid booster in the next month. It feels as if we are going in circles at times but I stay committed to the knowledge that there are more of us than them. They’ve got nothing but lies and intimidation tactics. And they will be found out in the results we are all waiting for to turn this nation around and gain seats in both houses of Congress in November. It’s been a slow trek but we have made so much progress despite so many obstacles in the past 2 years and for that we should all be grateful of the overall dedication of so many if our congress men and women and President Biden. Big week, thanks. I got my Flu, pneumonia, and last booster vaccines on Friday, left arm (two shots) was sore, other than that, OK. My partner when me to get the shingles vacs, but I think I'll wait a couple of weeks for that one.
I am just staggered by how many civil and potential criminal violations are facing Trump and what I would call at this point being close to Halloween “The Organization” ( sounds like a John Grisham novel”.) What has driven the loss of feeling, moral compass and lack of care for over half of America. Historians years of now (writing with the mindsets of historians of the deep past) might call this decadence, the decadence of comfort , the decadence of continual entertainment and mind distracting stimulation, the isolation and disdain from the struggles of people here and all over the world. Joyce your writing provokes our thinking with a clarity and elegance needed in todays world. On a more serious note I love the cauldron of witches. Is it not true that witches were really women demonized for really understanding nature and the world? I think we need more witches!
Unfortunately, down where you live, I will bet any amount of money, secure in the knowledge I won't lose a dime, that you are the only ones in the neighborhood worrying about "contact."
