Yes, Joyce, dropped a bundle for the week ahead. The opening was the peach: we're on GEORGIA- WATCH! …and here is Joyce's best line about it:

'...it’s entirely possible that this could be the week to expect the world to turn upside down.'

We know what she's talking about. Wouldn't we just love '...the world to turn upside down'?

Since we already live in Superman's, "Bizzaro World", no thanks. It's nuts enough for me. I'll be glad that justice has finally prevailed ... sort of. It may be too little, too late.

Joyce, thank you for the amazing work you do in helping us understand the legalities of what is taking place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that indictments will be coming for the people who deserve them.

“ ... and suddenly everyone’s phone will start blowing up at once.”

“forepersongate”

My two favorite gems from tonight’s letter!

We, meaning those of us graced to be on your team, but also, in a different sense, all Americans of good will who crave good government and have undergone a massive education on civics over the last seven years, are most definitely in this together. Thank you Joyce!

Got an instant visual over phones blowing up at once...

And "forepersongate," priceless!

It’s almost hard to believe we may actually finally see an indictment.🤞 For those of us who feel like Charlie Brown when the football is pulled repeatedly from his reach, it’s a “believe it when I see it” moment. But the Fulton County case is promising and hope springs eternal. The Grand Juror is an unfortunate distraction. It’s a nit compared to trump’s outrageous actions in plain sight - and sound. I do worry about trump instigating violence in addition to an endless array of legal defenses and challenges. Hope law enforcement is paying attention. Thanks for the insights as always.

I agree. I am very worried about violence. I live in a rural red county in a purple state, and work in a nearby blue city. Lots of red hats out where I live, and there are still trump signs and “let’s go Brandon” signs in yards out here. I have never put political signs in my yard, due to fear of retribution against my horses who’s pasture is close to a relatively major road.

Jessica, I wish you safety and peace. I live in a Civil War town that is mostly red with the signs and flags you describe. I am worried there will be violence, also. But I have , since the orange traitor occupied our White House, put signs in my yard that are not rude, mean or confrontational but a warning to all that our democracy is on the line. The one permanently there now reads REPUBLICAN POLITICIANS ARE DESTROYING FREEDOM IN AMERICA... VOTE THEM OUT.

I am leaving it up until the traitors are voted out of Congress. I hope anyone who sees it wants to discuss the issues...I would be happy to.

In this climate, we all have a lot to lose. Even those on the extreme right. I hope they start to realize their freedom is on the line, too.

I'm in a safer area in Allentown. I'm worried about it, too. Your rural area sounds like Coopersburg where I'd do my runs to pick up signs for Rep. Susan Wild. It's rural and across the driveway that rambles to a lovely-old farmhouse is a house with a H U G E djt sign. They're scattered around here and it's creepy.

Godspeed Jessica. Hope calm prevails and you and your horses remain safe.

I know what you mean about fear of retribution. I don’t put bumper stickers on my car for that reason. it speaks volumes that Democrats have to worry about what Republicans will do… and not ViceVersa. They’re free to bellow their racist, bigoted, hate-filled beliefs, mainly without any consequence.

I used to have a Darwin fish on the back of my car (like the Jesus fish but with feet, and the word “Darwin” inside the body). One day I was driving home, and a well dressed middle aged woman in a late model BMW convertible with the top down started honking at me. She initially tailgated me (could not even see her headlights) then passed and slowed down rapidly in front of me on the interstate to about 30 mph, blocking my way, and I couldn’t pass because I was so close to my exit. There was not that much traffic, so I am 100% sure I didn’t cut her off or do any other driving misdeeds, and I had been just going in the right lane at a couple mph over the limit anyway. I got off at my exit, and as I pulled to her right to do so, she swerved and also got off (there are 2 lanes at the exit - I went right and she went in the left lane). She was screaming about Jesus and how I was a heathen and ranting about my Darwin fish. Now, the only sticker I have on my car is one that says OTTB (stands for “Off The Track Thoroughbred” - what one of my horses is). No more political or potentially controversial stickers, no lawn signs. Just not worth the risk. I’m just glad she didn’t ram my car or pull out a gun.

That must’ve been terribly scary. I too have a Darwin fish, and another fish that says FSM (flying spaghetti monster). I keep them lined up on the windowsill in my office, where I have a bulletin board with all my stickers… Card carrying member of the ACLU, The labor movement - the folks who brought you the weekend, I believe in GOOD, etc.

FSM! Carbo Diem! He boiled for our sins. That's on my vehicle as well as a "fish" that says "Chips" within it.

Nobody has ever been tortured or murdered in the name of the FSM. And Pastafarians definitely have more fun.

Thank you, Joyce, for keeping us informed. In the meantime, I hope I'm not overstepping bounds here by highlighting this article as it pertains to New York's investigations of TFG. When the story broke about DA Alvin Bragg pausing New York's investigations, I thought surely there was more to it than Bragg did it "just because." This CAFE article by Elie Honig, former Assistant U.S. Attorney, digs deeper into the story beyond what I had read about before.

But for this week - and beyond? - the road surely leads back to Georgia.

Thank you. I never would have figured out any of this on my own, no matter how many law libraries are within reach. Have a good Georgia Watch all.

Excellent analysis explaining everything in a way us non lawyers can understand 😀 👍 Thanks for being so dedicated to making America 🇺🇸 aware of developments!! Just hope all is successful for the legal proceedings in both Georgia and DC. We need to know that all will be accountable for their seditious activities and that they can't squirm their way out on technicalities!!

Thanks again for laying it out for us to comprehend!!

Wow! Looks like an explosive week is in the offing. Thanks, Joyce, for the extensive explanations. I feel like I'm well-equipped to withstand whatever happens now, especially if that piece I read about 30 minutes ago about a case going BACK before the Supreme Court about booting Biden out and putting trump in his place, etc. is total and complete hogwash. Peace & tranquility will prevail. Yikes.

If Donald's would-be lawyers are reading here, I hope it will help discourage them from trying any shenanigans. Thank you for shedding Light on what otherwise would be a murky subject for me. Have a great week!

P.S. from R. Hubble..."Protecting constitutional privileges at the expense of efforts to preserve and defend the Constitution that grants those privileges is nonsensical."

I hold out little hope there will be any consequences, even if there are indictments. An indictment may even get out the votes for trump. Worst case for trump- PR bond, lots of golf time, and raise a lot of witch hunt money. The most interesting thing to me is how the contrast further shows Garland’s incompetence. My opinion and $. 02 which would be vastly too high a salary for Garland.

What I love the most when I read Joyce’s Discourse is the feeling we have in her of this integrity course which will take us through anything straight as an arrow, 💕

Whatever will happen in the future of Donald, whether convicted and still able to run as a candidate, since the Constitution wouldn’t forbid such a candidacy, all this will lead as an example of what is to be done when some one tries to dispense with the law on which a country is settled.

Joyce is our treasure here.
