Weeks following long weekends can seem so stressful. Unless you’re a chicken. No matter how long my list of things to get done is, the chickens are focused on the basics: laying eggs, searching for worms and tasty bits of plants, and indulging in dust baths in a sunny corner of the yard. It’s days like this where I appreciate their gentle reminder. I’m going to take the evening off, except for a little TV, to knit and catch up on “Only Murders in the Building.”
Joyce, I’m amazed at all you do. Your posts have been long and chock full of news and insights. Then I see you on MSNBC and you look so beautiful and chic and I wonder how it’s even possible, being on air, on the computer to inform us, your day job of teaching at the university, your family, it’s enough to make one’s head spin that you’re able to do it all. By all means, enjoy your chickens and your knitting and a very well-earned rest. 💕 Thank you.
Joyce, when Meryl and her co-star, Ashley Park, were harmonizing, my skin was all goose bumps. And honestly, have you EVER seen any actor who can make you believe every single second, even when the camera is up her nostril, like her? The show is filled with consummate comics/actors/experts in their fields and I treasure it.
I've started my yearly comforter....this year it's very widely undulating zigzag in very muted neutrals. Soothing.
