Short Weeks

Weeks following long weekends can seem so stressful.

Unless you’re a chicken.

Toot, who we hope will lay blue eggs one day soon

No matter how long my list of things to get done is, the chickens are focused on the basics: laying eggs, searching for worms and tasty bits of plants, and indulging in dust baths in a sunny corner of the yard. It’s days like this where I appreciate their gentle reminder. I’m going to take the evening off, except for a little TV, to knit and catch up on “Only Murders in the Building.”

I hope you have the opportunity to get a little breather too.

There’s a lot going on right now, but don’t worry. We’ll stay caught up.
