I’ve lost track of how many emails I received over the weekend that said something like, “I appreciate your writing, I really do, but can you please share more pictures of the puppy?” Last week was a tough one, so I think we all deserve a little bit of good time tonight. Here it is—Elsa overload!

Not surprisingly, her favorite thing to do every morning is come downstairs (she has learned to go up, but she’s still too small to go down, which means one of us acts as puppy carrier) and go outside.

Her chief pleasure once she’s out is chasing chickens. She can’t catch them—they can fly, and they are fast—but she enjoys the romp. I’m not sure the chickens enjoy it quite as much, but I’m hoping that by feeding them together, she’ll gradually get the idea. She doesn’t seem to have any evil intent, it’s more like she’s hoping they’ll play with her.

And, of course, Bella is doing a great job of teaching Elsa how to be a good dog.

The best part of all of it is hanging out with my girls.

Have a good night.

We’re in this together,

Joyce
