In addition to Trump’s proclamation that he intends to shred democracy if reelected (see yesterday’s edition of the newsletter if this isn’t ringing a bell), there’s a lot more in play this week.

Now, down to this. The E. Jean Carroll case. It seems to me that there’s not a lot of decision making to this as far as guilty or not. The defense, Trump’s attorneys didn’t call one witness to the stand in his defense. Now, I know we weren’t in the courtroom listening to the attorneys of E. Jean, but, the reporting by those that were in the courtroom was quite compelling.
As far as damages. That’s the multi-million dollar question. I’d personally put a big figure, then a coma, then a lot of “0s” behind it, with several comas thrown in just for sport! Trump deserves the best, don’t you agree? And, award her name back to her, ordering Trump to publicly admit his guilt, and do a public apology in every major newspaper in the country, every news broadcast both television and radio in the country. And I’d order him to do this for the period of one month, twice a week, since he’s so hip on wanting to be seen and heard. Also, I’d order him that every rally he holds, every speaking engagement he has, for the next year he’s to publicly admit his guilt and his apology for his actions against E. Jean, and other women he’s assaulted in the same manner.
That should keep him busy for a while.
I can’t wait for the indictments to come from Georgia and from the DOJ. Won’t it be nice to see indictments for Trump, and all his little minions that so graciously took part in all of this nonsense. That will make my year!

Joyce, in reference to your first observation yesterday it was disconcerting to watch Ted Koppel interview Henry Kissinger on CBS Sunday Morning. Koppel is always a good interviewer but how dismaying that he took the time to inquire of this 100 year old statesman about Biden’s age, yet never inquired about DJT’s fitness at any age.
I will find the time and means to write to CBS News about this egregious “oversight.” I hope others might do the same.

As for the Carroll case going to the jury, I am very nervous that a unanimous decision will not be made. I hope the five men are sympathetic to rape and I just hope no members of the jury are closet Mega Trumpers!! I rather talk about your chickens. Or maybe mine. As a child, I was once given two chicks for Easter. One perished and the other, a rooster, lived on through spring and summer. I named him Harry, after my father’s brother. I loved being with Harry. I learned how to gently rub him under his beak and he would go into a trance while sitting on my lap. Then one day in late summer, my parents told me Harry had to go to a farm to live. I was saddened and I always asked them if I could go and visit Harry. They kinda said yes but it never happened. And Harry was my first experience with loss of animal friendship.
Since I’ve become a cat rescuer and have 7 running around my house, my most precious was put down in January and now I am convinced I made a mistake. She was old and frail and suddenly developed a growth on her tonsils. At the same time, another cat that had been born in my back years suddenly became friendly and I quickly took him in before a car hit. I already sit on a board of a rescue center and since I make my own cat food, I want to start a YouTube channel to show others how to make it. It’s cheaper to am,e your own and it’s far more nutritious.
