Thank you for chickens and chicks and pups, reminding us that there IS life out there unsullied by Trumpism.
And thank you for being our ballast, reminding us to remain steady, that there IS a system that can still get the job done--even when we can't see results as quickly as we'd like. You are a national treasure.
My youngest and I are watching Burn Notice, which I know is sort of odd, but we remembered liking the episodes we'd seen and wanted to rewatch. And I'm rereading Great Gatsby.
Cool. I'm finally reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle and I just recently watched Heartstopper and Borgen: Power and Glory on Netflix. I love Sidse Babett Knudsen so much.
Wishing you well. Take the time you need to recuperate and enjoy the chicks. Sometimes we just have to get off the merry-go-round and catch our breath. It will still be there tomorrow and the day after. This is why patience is a virtue, not a given.
What are you knitting? I've restarted a poncho multiple times because I'm not happy with the edging. Such dilemmas! Go big on the self-care, Joyce! We need you!
So, my cats, or some of them, have apparently had their way with my living room knitting, a big cowl need in Icelandic Wool, so I decided to pull it back to just the first couple of inches where they hadn't done any damage and I'm going to wing a sweater without a pattern. Probably the Covid talking again :)
Please take care of yourself and get better! I love your commentary, but MSNBC may just have to wait while you recover. Tell them you can’t now because there’s a cat on your lap. 😉😸

Yes, it is time to rest. Having a mild case of COVID doesn't necessarily mean we're off the hook so to speak. Your chicken and baby chicks are adorable! Today I learned that my neighbor's rooster was eaten by some predator, not human. I wondered why I hadn't heard him crowing in awhile. But he too is raising baby chicks, hoping one is a rooster. I love the watermelon idea!
My 3 ylear old granddaughter is running around the house singing Frozen II songs at the top of her lungs. Tomorrow she leaves and I will have peace and quiet again to catch up on all the commentary on last week's events. I am trying to focus more on what's going on in my state of Arkansas because that is where the next battle will be. Now that the current Republican Governor is not running again, he has been changing his rhetoric. I'm sure you know who the republican contendor is: Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Those little bits of dandelion and milkweed fluff are the most adorable things ever. I don't see how you can contain them when they start wafting around on breezes.
Nonhuman animals make life bearable. Hugs
A sweet chickie moment AND legal perspective. Full service.
Who knew chicks & watermelon were a thing 🤣
Discovering that has been one of the joys of my life!

Feel better Joyce and again I love your baby chicks. What fun TV or movies are you watching as you recuperate?

I hope you test negative and get better soon, Joyce. I enjoyed the video of baby chicks eating watermelon!

Rest up. I just had it and it took 11 days to test negative. Sometimes you just have to go watch the chicks and put your feet up and knit.
"We're in this together," chirp the chicks enjoying watermelon in a box. Take good care, Joyce.
I love chicks. Take care of yourself, elliebelly. we need you to stay strong.
Love the video of the baby chicks! What fun! Now, if we could just get Cipollone and Meadows to start chirping, too!

Feel better soon!
I bet you're going to miss her singing when she's gone! That sounds wonderful.
More Bella, if you wouldn't mind? I miss our big boy Jack, the last of my GSD companions. Feel better, Joyce.
Bella is my constant companion, I really don't know what I would do without her. I'm sorry about your Jack.
