Not a knitter but I love the cat! Keep these treatises coming. I look for them whenever something dreadful is published about anything in the legal domain. You give clear, no-nonsense, appropriate explanations without hyperbole. Thank you.
Love the cat, love the dog, love the chickens and I am a long time knitter. Thanks for all expert information. Really appreciate your calm explanations. I am still throwing things at TV over Cannon’s ruling. Back to 🧶 knitting.
The Cannon opinion has been roundly and correctly savaged by legitimate legal commentators. Are there any (legitimate) legal scholars who have praised it? I’m curious if she anticipated the blowback - embarrassing for a new judge in the glare of the national spotlight. Or am I wrongly assuming that she actually cares?
Her chambers should be figuring out Plan B when the Trump team won’t agree on any special master candidate other than someone from their clown car. They have no interest in cooperating so she has invited a morass that will lead to useless delay.
I wondered the same thing. Surely the fact that she is on every major TV channel and every other twitter comment, must have some impact on her? Surely all this negative attention must affect her somehow☹️
I'd like to know why Trump "hasn't" been arrested? Bannon has been arrested and going to trial for fraud and lying to donors. Trump has also been lying bigly about "conspiracy" that didn't happen and then defrauded countless people to line his pockets for his campaign war chest while using some of it to defend Jan. 6 insurrectionists??? Maybe I'm just impatient after this nightmare has dragged on since Trump coasted down his golden escalator. I want justice.
This whole situation is maddening! Cannon is sketchy. And who is coaching her? And by default, Trump? I hope after this revelation, DOJ asks for her to reconsider and she obliges…but she seems determined to delay. Thanks Joyce!
Thank you, Joyce. The added information you provide here is so valuable and greatly appreciated. I am a knitter of over 50 years. I’m also a knitwear designer. Knitting is definitely part of my DNA. I always love seeing what you’re working on. And of course the chickens!
I’m a knitter, but not in this heat, and I wonder if you’re on Ravelry? I’m a distant admirer of chickens, and a devout listener of your podcasts with Preet. Lovely to see who you are behind the scenes!
Infuriated with the Cannon ruling. Appears she has as little shame as Trump. On a brighter note, I'm an on and off life-long knitter, was taught to knit at age 7 by an honorary grandmother. I'm currently knitting a pull-over sweater. Keeps me sane!
I wonder if the “former” has been selling nuclear intelligence to Russia. Is is a coincidence we are just now finding out they are purchasing weapons from North Korea and Iran?
Hi Joyce, I loved seeing HIllary Clinton’s tweet this morning. Fighting lies with truths, over and over again is exhausting but necessary. I’ve been test knitting all summer. My knitting keeps me sane. I post them on my Instagram @beanietvq to amplify the designers and the yarn dyers.
Appreciate the update, and also is that Malabrigo yarn? Lovely color! A sweater? Lifelong knitter here, but it’s been a slow summer on that front: too much glorious sun up here in the Pacific Northwest! Current projects include some socks and a linen cardigan, as I seem to have misplaced the last one I made.
Thanks so much for being here for us. It’s been quite a day of news! Stressful to say the least. And for sharing your fur family. And knitting projects. I love seeing the photos. Thanks again.
Hi JV - not sure how to address you. I do appreciate your qualified analyses on a regular basis and look to you for clarity on this massive issue. It’s tiring this ongoing saga of cat and mouse. I would think the DOJ would respond quickly with some searing caveats while treading lightly across this plain of discust.
Yes, a knitter also—also with a helper kitty, Fred, a big orange tabby! Like you, I have not been “productive” this summer, but ready to cast on a shawl. That’s lovely yarn; what will it be? And, equally important, thank you for all of your clear, concise, expert commentary as we ploughing our way through this dark time.

Thank you Barbara. And not a knitter you say? We can fix that!

Me too.

Wouldn't you love to know what's going on in her chambers and in that courthouse right now?
Her chambers should be figuring out Plan B when the Trump team won’t agree on any special master candidate other than someone from their clown car. They have no interest in cooperating so she has invited a morass that will lead to useless delay.
Her ruling must surely backfire in ways we will be learning about for some time, hopefully.
I sure WOULD!
Not likely it would seem.
I wondered the same thing. Surely the fact that she is on every major TV channel and every other twitter comment, must have some impact on her? Surely all this negative attention must affect her somehow☹️
It's completely maddening that Trump is not behind bars. Any of us would be.

I think because they need an air tight case....you know how trump has worked his way out of consequences in the past....
(I hope this is the case anyway)

But you forget who she is dealing with. Merrick Garland will certainly surprise us

Gorgeous cat! How are the chicks? Thanks for all the attention you give us!
Spider on the Coop
Never
has a spider
had so many wound
in his silk web
on the chicken house door.
Just a little
struggle by each
could easily break
the strands.
But none choose
loose.
They suck-in
his venom
‘til all sweat
the searing
wounds.
