I always love your analysis, you have geat critcal thinking. The thought occurred to me, if Trump could be charged with seditious conspiracy, wouldn’t of his actions that resulted in the physical threat to his vice president possibly constitute attempted murder? Given his comments about agreeing with the mob crowds that Pence should die, he was sending a message to them.

I agree with you, Debi.

Donald needs to be charged with attempted murder among other crimes.

Absolutely! Especially since he also killed over 800 people from not protecting us from Covid19!

The DOJ is begging the J6 committee to turn over information ASAP. What’s going on with this? And......have you checked your gauge? I’m knitting socks to be safe right now 🧶🧶🧶

Joyce, I agree that Pence is no hero nor are any of the staff who testified. The fact that Pence’s life was in danger and he won’t come in to testify shows what a coward he is. Does he really think he can come close to winning the Presidency? (The only thing he thinks God wants him to do.) His life was in danger yet he still speaks to Drumpf? What cool aide are they drinking? This committee is doing a great job! Yesterday hearing was a bomb shell and I’m waiting for the next show to drop! My question to you is if they could charge Drumpf with obstruction, is that enough to lock him up?

I agree with letting the testimony sit. After an overnight respote, a few things have become clear. Setting aside the Democrats political agenda, its clear there is a Republican agenda as well. ‘Save the conservative party from its current occupants- Trump, Trumpian elected officials and MAGA supporters.’ All of those R & former Trump inner circle, mind you young and mid life males- lawyers and political operatives see the handwiting in the wall- and realize they would best be served by hitching their wagons to Luttig, Cheny and Kinzinger- & Pence, the sane ones. I feel very strongly these com’è lately folks should pay politcal and professional price for not stepping foorward sooner. I’m not advocating wrecking their entire career for the remaindernof their lives. But there should be some reputational and political accountability & need to pay some proce for waiting to the last minute to speak out. And mind you many only agreed to do a deposition, & not avial themselvesnto a public hearing. Also it seemed so orchestrated that yesterday was an attempt to rehabilitate Pence even though he did nothing until violence and deaths were incurred. He at the very least should testify publicly before the public at this hearing. The discomfort and professional risk Pence would incur is a small price to pay for his inaction. All of these privileged individuals are attempting in such a hypocritical way to claim hero status when infact they are part of the problem. There were no guardrails & now it is “every man for himself.” And the plan to live another day so they can continue their life of entitlement after a brief detour.

Why is there so much noise about whether Garland will indict Trump? Why wouldn’t he? Or more accurately why wouldn’t his team indict him?

Is Garland known to be cautious ? Vs bold?

Also - unrelated to Jan 6 - do you have recommended sources for choosing in NY primaries ? Thanks!

Aside please discuss: 1. Re Trump Can a settlement or Pardon include an enforceable clause that he can never hold public office again? We will eventually need to deal with Senators and House members. 2. If he runs I believe the DOJ can still move forward. There is a memo they should go dark x months before election? 3. Is it only memo that advises can’t charge a sitting President? Thanks

These anti-constitutional crooks used our country as their gameboard. I prefer Monopoly: Go to jail. The reality, as I see it, is that this assault / tryanny against our Republic was long in play. This was not short in planning; too many holes were plugged. Ms. Vance has laid this out nicely, succinctly. But, now: What will happen next? Will we witness a re-centering of our country? Will justice actually prevail (meaning Trump and others will in fact wind up in prison)?

Or, will we begin to see only the remnants of what we once were? Serious damage has been committed against our constitutional democracy. Very serious damage. And . . . the enemy continues to walk among us, inspired by the larger enemies in the seats of power. Pulling from childhood memory, "It ain't over till the fat lady sings". Have we seen the worst? I worry.
