Very helpful, and a great cast of characters! No words can fully express how grateful we are for your work in helping to keep our democracy intact. Thank you, Joyce. ❤️

Gurl, this is why I subscribed.

Also--I teach in analogies as well and I really appreciate the effort that went into this lesson.

This was brilliant! Something even this old RN could understand (oops, no offense, I think we are the same age). I appreciate the humor in this. Thank you

Harry is a cat and they always have ulterior motives. I am willing to bet has a plan to scam the chickens out of something or will testify against them. Expert on red stains? Pfft. Cats are killers. Despite being a sweet Maine Coon, he is thinking about how tasty fresh chicks would be.

Wow! The instincts of a defense lawyer at work here. 😂

Okay, so that was very cool. Finally, I think I understand "mens rea", which I first heard mentioned in “Legally Blonde”. The chickens are brimming with intent the way they brazenly attack the watermelon; besides they even look guilty. (Does that count?) Don’t leave copies of “Animal Farm” laying around; it’ll give them ideas. Your closing statement: “We’re in this together”, reminds me of the “Red Green Show”, which is now off the air…. I think Red Green used this as an excuse. Anyway, I LOVE the chicken analogy. Very clever and didactic.

Excellent example of not just what a statute requires but how it is used and proved of potentially frustrated. Defense council will argue that standard chicken feed also leaves a pink residue in 50% of white chickens. Perhaps that’s what the cat saw. Reasonable doubt? How do you build a case that can’t be pecked apart by opposing council? Thank you. Love the photos.

Given the cast of characters involved, you are going to need to expand your menagerie a lot. I am not sure if the SPCA has massive very orange tabby that you can borrow. Don’t forget the snakes

Educational and Emmy worthy!

I'm really glad it's helpful. The law should be clear and easy for everyone to understand and it's great to see so many people taking the time to understand it. That's really the best vaccination against future attacks on democracy.

Loved the chick's J. I subscribed cuz I think you are a latent comedienne. And I've kept my eye on you for years now. Your funnier than I could ever imagine. Please charge my CC the monthly amount.

You're doing too much. Take time for your kids, Sincerely,
