I think it was wishful thinking. Tim Ryan was such a perfect candidate for Ohio, and he was a class act. He confirmed this when he used his concession speech to say, "I have the privilege to concede this race to JD Vance, because, in this country, when you lose an election you concede." He kicked the Republicans in the teeth, while being incredibly honorable!
I sure wish you had been correct about this. We tried so hard to get Tim elected, and he was so obviously the superior candidate! I worry a lot about what had become of my beloved state of Ohio! They are now calling us the "Alabama of the North!" Lord help us, I may have to move to Georgia!! OR worse for an Ohio, Michigan!! (JK of course, and pulling your leg a bit. But the worry for my state is REAL! ) My last name is really Woker! I like to tease friends, "you may be woke, but I am certainly Woker!"
