Similarly there are two CDs in VA 02 and 07 which are “truly competitive” and we need $20k in each of those so Barbara and anyone else please introduce me to folks who are capable of such donations? Ira, I very much appreciate learning precisely which districts in critical states to target to help flip a majority of House delegations to Democratic control. Moreover, while TurnUp is among the causes to which I donate, as with others on this thread, I remain confident that donating judiciously combined with a host of other GOTV initiatives collectively will enable us to win races up and down the ballot.
I appreciate greatly your judicious donation choices. I simply request that folks on this thread get the critically important message from www.TurnUp.US that funds are critically needed to register 3,000 to 4,000 new 18 to 29s in "truly competitive" VA 02 and VA 07 in support of abortion rights! Voter registration in EACH of these two critically important Virginia CDs is critically important. TurnUp registers these new voters only in High Schools PLUS Community Colleges that are within these two districts and then pays enablers of specific social media to exlain the importance of voting and the importance of the abortion issue as well as gun safety and climate change. The combination of these factors which are of critical concern to 18 to 29s results in very high turnout rates based on their experience in 2023 in nine statewide elections which were all won by pro-reproductive rights adherents! Ira, I write to note that earlier I picked up an email from TurnUp founder Zev Shapiro, replete with as thorough a discussion of the organization’s mission as I’ve seen anywhere. Contrary to mailings from other groups, the missive even included an invitation to speak. Suffice it to say I was mighty impressed and posted an unplanned donation.
I suppose my reason for writing you is to say that I better understand your repeated efforts to urge us to prioritize this group as we map out our GOTV efforts.
