DOJ has been guns blazing for the last couple of weeks, indicting the terrorist group Hamas, would-be Russian election influencers, Chinese spies, and today, the leaders of a transnational terrorist group, Terrorgram, that is charged with soliciting both hate crimes and the murder of federal officials and with conspiring to provide material support to terrorists.
Stunning and horrifying! I am hoping they will receive the maximum sentence possible, but also couldn’t stop the thought that this world would feel like a safer place if trump could spend the next 220 years in jail.

On the other coast, there was the empty-headed dope who believed a child kidnap ring operated underneath a pizza parlor in Washington, DC, based on pure hateful rantings he was fixated on.
There is no longer any way of feeling safe, anywhere, and now Joyce writes of two really dangerous brain-wrecks who finally landed on Merrick Garland's arrest list. The cost of justice is escalating and so are the number of trumpist judges!
Most of these people would live lives of quiet desperation were it not for the Orange Nut-Supreme giving them a common hateful cause(s) and platforms to express their hopelessness against whomever is within reach.

SPW, my only problem with Garland's work is that it took so long for DOJ to address the problem of the stolen documents and the insurrection. We can't count on our Supreme Court for help with this because the 6 are enthralled with Trump and Kump and seem OK with their planned authoritarian takeover. Maybe they think that's god's will and that they, along with Trump and Kump are god's messengers. If that is what they think their god wants, I do not consider them Christian, just a bunch of power-hungry thugs who are trying to cause chaos so they can rule with immunity and impunity. Disgusting!

Looking back at four years ago, when he PROMISED repercussions if he didn't win, he "honored" that promise by holding an insurrection. That was a moment in history that our country could have done without, but he was the puppet master and controlled the entire situation while cowardly hiding in the dining room at home (OUR White House!), eating cheeseburgers and refusing to help US.
I'm truly scared to death to think of what he AND his minions/our adversaries have planned this time around. I'm also sure that this time, he's not going to wait until the counts are certified in January, nor will he wait until November 5th. I predict that you-know-will start hitting the fan as soon as tonight's debate is finished.

Dianne, I, too, worry because Republicans have truly been playing the long game since Nixon and have been planting lies of all sorts, paring the ones that don't have a sufficient following. They are super racists, misogynists, xenophobes, and homo/transphobes along with classists, allpretending they deserve the super wealth of Elon Musk (who by the way would certainly not agree since he wants it all). Why so many white Americans, even women still support Trump and Kump is that of all the lies, they have decided to cling to the one , "replacement theory" where white people, who don't believe they have any privilege, won't have that privilege anymore because of all of THOSE people (fill in the blank which Trump and Kump will kindly provide an enemy for them). Trump has been like what people in my neighborhood used to call "white trash." (I hated that title and yet can see it meant white people who decided they didn't have to care about anyone or anything, particularly, THOSE people.) Trump's wealth covered for so much of his bad behavior, and he has been permitted to insult, defame, lie about, cheat, and threaten millions of people with impunity and now, our "lauded" Supreme Court conservatives (cons) think it OK for him to have immunity in anything he did and would do in office if they or he says it was official. Insurrection and stealing secret documents to sell for one's own purposes are not official no matter what the cons say. Johnny Roberts should know better, but he has also been brought under Trump's spell or rather, he has something on Roberts that makes Roberts, a Chief Justice twist the law and the Constitution to make up justification for doing some things that are clearly unamerican, unconstitutional, giving him and his buddies far more power than they should ever have. So, yes, I am worried about what Trump and his fascist cronies will do and how they will undermine our elections between now and November. They have already gotten RFK to screw with Georgia's ballots and I think in Wisconsin too. It should be too late to mess with ballots after the last nominating convention, but Trump and Kump don't care what is right, only what gives them more power. Scary!

Dianne, Trump does not think about any of this once the words have spewed from his mouth or his thumbs. Besides, he seems to no longer be writing his posts. They are not in a style or language he uses, ever, so someone else is doing the writing and passing it off as Trump's, hoping people will think Trump is still actually functioning; he isn't. He has dementia and it is getting more complicated because he clearly has good and bad days. His handlers know that Trump is incompetent, but are covering for him. I keep wondering if he is wearing a wire through which his handlers can sometimes conduct Trump's behavior. I do wish that would be checked before the debate, but of course it won't because, well, they'd have to check Kamala too and . . . .

I am OK with them putting out stuff, say on his website, but pretending to be Trump is not acceptable. Where are the media who should be letting folks know that Trump is not even pumping out his own "stuff" on his "twitter" and his own service (I don't care to remember the name of it). Yep, Trump is doing even less work now and he was doing almost none before. Besides running his mouth, what does Trump do? He claimed last night at the "debate" that he read "project 2025" then said in the same sentence he didn't have to read it because he didn't support it, a lie of course, but what isn't a lie that Trump says these days! Trump could not possibly read and comprehend "Project 2025" even though he agrees with all of it. His sycophants will tell him which pieces of it he should go with at any particular event, as long as he covers the main points every week or so.
