Thank you for helping the firehose of information and mis-infromation that comes at us more understandable. I certainly count on you to help me digest it.... alhtough it may still give me indigestion, at least you have helped me sort it it meaningful ways. Thank you!
I, for one, think you are excelling in your “assignment” or “obligation”. You make everything understandable to a “lay” person. I appreciate you and all you do & I’m glad when you take time off to recharge & take care of yourself. Thank you!
PS…my birthday is July 22 also. Happy Birthday to both of us!
Happy Birthday!! And mine was July 23rd! Yes, we’re all in this together.. Thankfully!!
Together we’ll get through this, I’m confident especially with Joyce’s knowledge and leadership along with all the others on Substack! … Sisters-In-Law, Katie Phang, Andrew Weissman, Mary McCord!! And Ellie Leonard regarding the Epstein Files!!
You all keep my sanity when my head starts exploding!!
Happy birthday Joyce and Debbie Harris, too! Mine was July 31. I am so glad you are on this crazy, wild and terrifying journey with us. The closer we get to the midterms, the better I feel that we will get through this. I was wondering if you know about the new Supreme Court filing the DOJ just filed with the shadow docket regarding his executive order on mail-in ballots. I believe they are trying to get the stayed order overturned until the midterms since , they say, that it is too early to stay it because it hasn’t happened yet. My question is don’t the primaries count? People are voting in person and by mail right now. Why wouldn’t there be standing?
Patti, yes, it is like a firehose sending vast streams of stuff our way. I, too appreciate the intervention with good analyses on our behalf! That firehose, though does indeed bring me indigestion! This Substack helps clear it up.
Incompetent Piro has dropped her BS charges against the former Olympian, David Heard, because the contractor "botched the pool job Apparently her case fell apart at the "seams".
Yes, I’m getting more of a sense of Vance’s breath of knowledge, and gift for writing about it in lay person’s terms, so we understand and are well informed. And what an excellent writer, she is.
I appreciate, and learn from, every one of your Civil Discourse posts. I read them every morning. In a country whose government I no longer recognize, your writing gives me hope.
As I have said many times here Joyce, I learn from you every time you explain something to us. You make the law understandable and that is so very important in these days of almost hourly legal happenings. I thank you again and will continue to do so. We are blessed.
Joyce, everything you do gives us so much more than we could ever expect. I don’t know how you find the time for everything, including puppies and chickens, and a gorgeous cat, and by the way, your family! We are very lucky to have you. Thank you.
Everyone is always asking what we can do, and you just gave us a mission: To be your community, your cheerleaders, your supporters. If each of us can add any oomph to what you do, what a proud undertaking to feel we have helped your work or in any way made it easier. Thank you so much and wishing you lots of belly laughs tonight.
Joyce - thank you so much for being subtractive! I can’t possibly process everything that comes my way but you distill it all down to something that makes sense. I trust you. I’m so grateful for you. Keep on doing the good work.
Yes: distillation is the process that for me best describes Joyce's work here. I don't think we'll overcome the 'negative' connotation of subtractive. Is that a pun?
Joyce, I am so glad you garnered from Ken Burns a way to describe the essence of what you do for all of us. The sorting of the wheat from the chaff and congealing it into a coherent summary is your forte and we are all the better for it. Thank you so much!
Subtractive - what an insight. And critical work in these times when "their" effort is to bombard us beyond any ability we might have to manage. But we have you. Thank you.
Joyce you are the best person I know to comment and analyze the day to day craziness of our current president and his staff. I hope you understand how many people rely upon your words of wisdom and experience to help us get through this difficult time. I appreciate your work and long hours to help us survive!! Thank you so very much.
Joyce, thank so very much for giving us so much of yourself and your experience. Each day a new insight from you. You help me to be a better citizen and more thoughtful human being!
We are all better off - and better informed - because of you. Thank you.
Yep. Thank you, Joyce
Absolutely!!
Thank you Lea.
Exactly!

Still, she did it. She went against trump. Guess she's ready to get fired ...maybe she could give classes to the senate as her new job ??
Definitely a lot of indigestion over the volume of stuff we have to consume. That is such a good way of putting it.
