Amen. I've read Project 2025. to say that is an existential threat to our country is an understatement.

Everyone should check out the first three chapters (about 80 pages), on "Taking the Reins of Government". This will give you a sense of what the plan has in store for you.

If you're going to read it, you'll want this. It's a list of 268 acronyms used in the plan.

Amen......Project 2025 is alive and well. As you know the prepartion for this has taken years of subversive work. My main question still is what forces that will go to the streets and without mercy, put down demostrations. I believe that the militas are on standby waiting for the call from Heritage. Would Trump actually order the National Guard to fire on US citizens? MAGA is a hate based cult that does not have the ability to reason and think clearly. They would blindly follow any orders.

Expand full comment

I believe trump would invoke the Insurrection Act. He wanted to shoot the protestors in Grant Park.

Expand full comment

Biden will not do this. BUT, he would within his power, utilize the Insurrection Act to the advantage of the American People. With the National Guard first, then and only then, if the military was required to quell domestic terrorism.

I am more worried about the electors refusing to certify, purging the rolls and suppressing the votes.

I have every confidence the United States military can take on some militias.

From Chapter 4 DOD

page 92

Priority No. 3: Provide necessary support to Department of Homeland

Security (DHS) border protection operations. Border protection is a

national security issue that requires sustained attention and effort by all

elements of the executive branch.

From page 107

Establish true alignment between DOD and DHS both to improve the

defense of critical U.S. infrastructure and national border integrity

and to develop vital information that enables defense against foreign

targeted disruptions.

From page 110

Transform how the National Guard is employed during extended operations short of declared war to preclude back-to-back federal and state deployments of National Guard soldiers in order to stabilize and preserve military volunteerism in our communities.

From Chapter 4 DHS

page 142

CBP’s established national standards of Transport, Escort, Detention, and Search (TEDS) have been widely interpreted and expanded by lower courts.

This has resulted in unrealistic and differing detention standards for CBP facilities based on the jurisdiction within which they fall, negatively impacting operations.

ICE has suffered similarly. A single nationwide detention standard should be codified that prevents individual states from mandating that federal government agencies to adhere widely expansive and ever-changing sets of standards. Such standards should allow the flexibility to use large numbers of temporary facilities such as tents.

The annual costs associated with establishing and maintaining temporary facilities to address the flow of illegal migration and associated care, transportation, and processing are prohibitive, and CBP’s budget is inadequate.

Page 143

Congress should mandate and fund additional bed space for alien detainees.

ICE should be funded for a significant increase in detention space, raising the daily available number of beds to 100,000.

Other structural changes should include reimplementation of the USCIS denaturalization unit—an effort to maintain integrity in the system by identifying and prosecuting criminal and civil denaturalization cases, in combination with the Department of Justice, for aliens who obtained citizenship through fraud or other illicit means.

Additionally, USCIS should create a criminal enforcement component within the agency to investigate immigration benefits fraud under Title 8 (perhaps requiring additional legislative and regulatory authorities for the officers themselves) and to prosecute cases through Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys (SAUSAs) with substantive knowledge in the field.

Page 144

To advance the national interest, the three core immigration agencies—USCIS, ICE, and CBP—should remerge and have immigration elements outside of DHS (such as ORR of HHS) included.

The fragmented immigration enforcement frame- work that developed in the wake of the Homeland Security Act has weakened each agency and should be remediated.

Combining these critical agencies would strengthen their capabilities, ensure cooperation, and promote information-sharing.

Training should be returned to Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), which would underscore the enforcement role of USCIS as a vetting agency and be rebranded accordingly.

Page 144

Management Directives and policies should realign to ensure that the workforce, while adaptable and able to handle the bulk of the USCIS mission, is not allowed to be pulled off mission work to focus on unlawful programs (DACA, mass parole for Afghans, Ukrainians, Venezuelans, etc.), which divert resources away from nuclear family and employment programs.

Page 147

USCIS should be classified as a national security–sensitive agency, and all of its employees should be classified as holding national security–sensitive positions.

Leaks must be investigated and punished as they would be in a national security agency, and the union should be decertified. Any employees who cannot accept that change and cannot conform their behavior to the standards required by such an agency should be separated. USCIS’s D.C. personnel presence should be skeletal, and agency employees with operational or security roles should be rotated out to offices throughout the United States. These USCIS employees should live and work in the communities that are most affected by their daily duties and decisions.

Page 166ff

AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS

It is critical to the achievement of the President’s policy objectives that all agencies and departments touching immigration policy work in sync with one another. While there are numerous areas in which such cooperation is critical, immigration has proven to be the most difficult.

Accordingly, several objectives will be necessary for each of the following departments.

Department of Health and Human Services: Agree to move the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to DHS or, alternatively, implement an aggressive and regular effort by the Secretary of HHS to ensure that ORR is fully pursuing presidential objectives in support of DHS.

Department of Defense: Assist in aggressively building the border wall system on America’s southern border. Additionally, explicitly acknowledge and adjust personnel and priorities to participate actively in the defense of America’s borders, including using military personnel and hardware to prevent illegal crossings between ports of entry and channel all cross-border traffic to legal ports of entry.

Department of Justice: Agree to move the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Office of Immigration Litigation to DHS and/or, alternatively, to treat the administrative law judges (immigration judges and Board of Immigration Appeals) as national security personnel, decertify their union, and move to increase hiring significantly to enable the processing of more immigration cases.

Department of State: Allow DHS to lead international engagement in

the Western Hemisphere on issues of security and migration. Additionally, quickly and aggressively address recalcitrant countries’ failure to accept deportees by imposing stiff sanctions until deportees are in fact accepted for return (not just promised to be taken).

Department of Housing and Urban Development: Ensure that only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents utilize or occupy federally subsidized housing.

Department of Education: Deny loan access to those who are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and deny loan access to students at schools that provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

Department of Labor: Eliminate the two (of four) lowest wage levels for foreign workers.

Department of the Treasury: Implement all necessary regulations both to equalize taxes between American citizens and working visa holders and to provide DHS with all tax information of illegal aliens as expeditiously as possible.

Intelligence Community: Cooperate in the shrinking or elimination of the I&A role in the IC while replacing it with CBP and HSI representation to the IC.

From Chapter 17 DOJ

Page 562ff

Ensure that the DOJ spearheads an initiative demonstrating the federal government’s commitment to nondiscrimination.

The department should also lead a whole-of-government recommitment to nondiscrimination and should be working with all other federal agencies, boards, and commissions to ensure that they are both complying with constitutional and legal requirements and using their authorities and funding to prevent discrimination not only internally, but also at the state, local, and private-sector levels.

This will require particularly close coordination with several key agencies, including such obvious candidates as the

1. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; the

2. Departments of Defense,

3. Department of Education, and

4. Housing and Urban Development; and the

5. Securities and Exchange Commission.

It will also require enforcing contractual requirements that prohibit discrimination on federal contractors.

Bob, this crap is scary. Thanks for popping it in here. It sounds in some ways as though they are trying to streamline things when what they are really doing, if read correctly, is consolidate agencies so they are more easily controlled by a single entity and permit them to militarize so they can "better control" immigration, including dumping unions and anything else that protects workers and if those workers don't like it, tough sh*t! So immigrants are just people to fill prisons even in tents because, well, that is probably cheaper. And killing them if they try to come into this country should be OK too. The inhumanity of this crap is startling and I bet every single one of those sycophants for Baby Donnie call themselves christians. Well, I must inform them they are a cult for Trump that is using the wrong name for itself. Gag!

Bob, Thanks for the list of Acronyms. Yesterday when my Democrats Abroad Project 2025 book club met, we discussed who was the audience for this document and did they understand that by publishing it people would read it who would have a problem with it. Most of the people in my group feel that The Heritage Foundation is out of touch with mainstream Americans so much so that they might not understand how we would see what they want to do as a problem. We are not reading straight through, but jumping around and reading the parts that we want to. We see themes to what they are writing even though each section has a different author. Also, looking at the authors we often see people writing their own job descriptions in the next Trump administration. We also see that the references are not serious sources mostly, but junk right wing news. What we want to do with what we learn, is put together information sheets for the events that we attend in our countries that have a lot of Americans and recruit them and inform them and help them to vote abroad.

Dec. 18, 2008 (NYTimes, obituary, excerpts)

Paul M. Weyrich, the conservative thinker and strategist whose iron principles, articulate fervor and organization-building skills were instrumental in propelling the right wing of the Republican Party to power and prominence in the 1980s and ’90s, died Thursday. He was 66 and lived in Fairfax, Va.

Lee Edwards, a friend of Mr. Weyrich’s for four decades and a distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation, the conservative research group that Mr. Weyrich helped found, confirmed the death, ... but Mr. Weyrich had many health problems, including diabetes. His legs were amputated at the knee in 2005, and he had broken his back in a fall some years earlier.

A writer, a lobbyist and an organizer on behalf of conservative causes and especially social conservatism, Mr. Weyrich (pronounced WY-rick) was one of the far right’s most unbending ideologues. He was widely credited with coining the phrase “moral majority” as a rallying label for social conservatives. It became the name of the religion-based political organization that was led by the Rev. Jerry Falwell.

A deacon in the ultra-conservative Melkite Greek Catholic Church, Mr. Weyrich openly fused his faith and his politics.

“Defense is a moral issue,” he told The Washington Post in 1983, before the fall of the Soviet Union, adding that he considered the Communists to be godless oppressors. “There are some things worse than war. One is surrender — the moral consequences are such that the nation would be destroyed. Since I believe in eternal life, if it became necessary to sacrifice my life for my country or my beliefs, well, then I’m willing to do so. The people who have come up with the better-red-than-dead idea are not believers.”

For more than a quarter of a century, Mr. Weyrich was one of the Republican Party’s leading antagonists from the right. President Ronald Reagan, he said, had overemphasized economic issues and kept social issues “on the back burner,” as he wrote on the Op-Ed page of The New York Times in 1984.

Perhaps more than anything, Mr. Weyrich was a nondeviator in his unswerving faith in small government, free-market economics, the right to life and the sanctity of the family.

“Paul Weyrich fought tirelessly for three decades to protect the preborn, preserve traditional marriage and ensure that people of faith had a voice in shaping the public policy that affected their lives,” James C. Dobson, the founder of Focus on Families, said in a statement on Thursday. “Had there been no Paul Weyrich, there would be no conservative movement as we know it.”

Richard A. Viguerie, the conservative direct-mail pioneer, said in a telephone interview that Mr. Weyrich was the least known of the four pillars of modern conservatism, the others being Barry Goldwater, William F. Buckley Jr. and Ronald Reagan. (NYTimes by Bruce Weber)

The next step on the former president's agenda. After Project 2025:

'Have babies for Russia: Putin presses women to embrace patriotism over feminism.' (WAPO, excerpt)

Follow the leader. 'All aboard', shouts Vance!

'MOSCOW — Vladimir Putin, who has long cultivated an aura of machismo as Russia’s strongman leader, is enlisting women to grow Russia’s population through childbirth and to rebuild his nation as a great power steeped in traditional family values — a campaign that is eroding equal rights and protections, human rights advocates and Russian feminists say.'

“Many of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers had seven or eight children, and maybe even more,” Putin declared to an audience of ultraconservative religious and political figures who had convened in the State Kremlin Palace in November. “We should preserve and revive these wonderful traditions.”

'Putin, who spoke by video link from his office in Sochi in southern Russia, appeared on a massive screen flanked by two images of the “Icon of the Savior, Made-Without-Hands,” suggesting godlike status as he urged Russian women to give birth to very large families. Russian officials, echoing their leader, are telling women to start young — at 18.'
