How legally, can we stop this criminal syndicate from turning our democracy into a full-fledged fascist state? It seems as if nothing is stopping this regime from destroying this country. Is there any good news at all legally on the horizon?
That’s really the problem isn’t it, Trump “overriding” Congress? If only there were signs of life in Congress because they are willingly letting that happen. They are the ones who could stop it and they show no signs of life.
Today in my state we are calling our representatives to get them off their butts to support the war powers act acap. Can everyone do the same to help push this??

There should be a national conversation among every lefty person to be pushing the idea that several ETHICAL republican House members should seriously consider changing their party from R to D. Otherwise, every hour that they delay in doing this further cracks DEMOCRACY. They should do it all at once on the same day, publicly, at a presser. This should be promoted by every host on CNN, MSNOW, by you, Marc Elias, Joyce, and HCR, and every Democratic house member. Be relentless--trump/vought/miller/noem/hegseth are! Tell Maura what we citizens can do. Call our congresspeople every day to get this accompished.

The idea that Trump is not working with a "normal" brain is all over the internet. And lately with his makeup covered hands it seems he is now getting some kind of IV treatment for a geriatric driven brain disorder. One of the many side effects of this medication is insomnia with a lack of REM sleep which creates all kinds of problems such as anger... intolerance... Proof of this possibility is the increased number and timing with Trump's tweeting at 3am typical and his sleeping during meetings. Long term insomnia is a very serious problem for a person's health.
But you are assuming a lot to say tRump is joking The whole concept of humor is way over his head. Whatever his particular mental dysfunction is, humor is clearly confusing to him. He most likely thought it was a serious suggestion.

What consequences are in the War Powers act that can be employed if Congress refuses to act or the President continues to override Congress?
