Still waiting for Trump’s “conclusive evidence” that the 2020 election was indeed rigged. And while we’re at it, why doesn’t he, the “aggrieved party” bring suit in his own name? Something about “under penalty of perjury”?

Barry M's avatar

You can expect to receive that conclusive evidence when he produces the findings from his team of investigators that were sent to Hawaii to show that Barack Obama wasn’t born in the US. I hear they cannot believe what they were finding. Or maybe it will be produced when he releases his tax returns, which he really would like to do. So I’m told.

David J. Sharp's avatar

Or when I become young (again) and handsome (dream on, buster).

James Coyle's avatar

Or the medical records from the 2024 "assassination attempt" in Butler, PA.

Bruce Katz's avatar

I believe that the presentation of the Obama evidence has been deferred until after the release of Trump’s health care plans that will reduce the cost of coverage by 100%. Maybe even 400%! Any day now I’m sure.

Carol's avatar

And nobody has ever seen anything like it! People are always telling me this. Obama was a hoax. The election was rigged. And no one has ever believed it!

Skepticat's avatar

You don't really think that a penalty of perjury has even the slightest affect on his constant obscene lies on every matter, do you?

David J. Sharp's avatar

No, Trump is unable to differentiate lie from truth … but recall his devastating performance in Roberta Kaplan’s E. Jean Carroll depositions. The jury cares.

Skepticat's avatar

And thank goodness most people with a lick of sense do too.

Jon Margolis's avatar

Actually, to bring a lawsuit Trump would not need to sign the papers, much less on oath.

David J. Sharp's avatar

Yes, but to proceed to the next step - the deposition - he would have to so swear.

Ron Bravenec's avatar

Why isn’t the magistrate judge who signed off on the original warrant not being confronted?

Susan Lee's avatar

NO kidding!!!!!!

Fellow subscribers and readers please take heart: we live in Fulton Co and I can tell you with certainty that our fellow citizens are not easily intimidated. The more someone tries to take away our rights or attempts to use scare tactics, the more Atlantans get pissed and become even more determined to vote (Atlanta is in Fulton and DeKalb counties - both are over 90% Dem.)

Make the lines longer by closing polling places or removing ballot drop boxes or making it too difficult to mail in your ballot? We wait in even longer queues and become even more certain to vote against the Rs who forced these conditions.

Don't mess with Atlanta voters. We aren't stupid or naive - there's just been too much history of voter suppression in the South and we fight against all of their tactics by voting. Why do you think Trump et.al. are so afraid of Fulton County? I fully expect this latest bs will spectacularly backfire.

Katherine Cummings's avatar

I am also a Fulton County voter a d a trained Legal Observer. People are stepping up across the county without hesitation. I am also in rural Middle GA often. The Trump signs are mostly gone. Is that because they fell apart from being out there for so long, or because people got a good dose of morals and reality? I hope the latter.

TwistedCereus's avatar

I also make several trips per month thru rural central GA and haven't seen any new signs for Trump at all! 'not sure about the northern counties - e.g., MTG areas. When we did travel in those parts in the past it made me realize that some areas might not be very welcoming to folks with a west coast accent.

Thank you. Very reaffirming attitude.

YES !! Our voting rights is something way too many people worked and fought and died for. WE THE PEOPLE, in EVERY STATE and Legal Territory, do not take it lightly when ANYBODY tries to mess with OUR voting rights and we ALL will fight any nimrod who tries, including the Criminal Cadre of the current administration.

There is no bottom to the scumbuggery they will attempt, we must all stay focused..

Brenda Pitts's avatar

"""...scumbuggery...""" !!! Great word!! Thanks for that good laugh!! 🤭

This administration is exhausting. Not only are they constantly blowing up norms in governing, Trump is trying to rebuild DC in his own image, and learning he cant insult and bully allies for a year and expect them to acquiesce to his whims. And relitigating 2020 serves no purpose except massaging Trump's ego. I hope the GOP loses both majorities in November so he can finally be held accountable.

Paul Thompson's avatar

Well, with his asking our (former) allies for help with Iran, I think even those Repug's would go find the strength for invoking the 25th.

They won’t. They are chicken. With all due respect to the beauteous, divine, Vance Family chickens!

TwistedCereus's avatar

I love Joyce's chickens.

Peter Henry's avatar

Any time he can threaten a Congresscritter with a primary challenge, and have candidates afraid of his base enough to proactively lick his boots, the 25th is a fever dream.

Pam Birkenfeld's avatar

So far it hasn’t!

The Terrible Twos PINO. The exhaustion is the point.

Hi Joyce: Fortunately for those of us here in North Florida, Judge Cannon is in the US Southern District.

Paul Thompson's avatar

She hurts all of us.

Hayden's avatar

I don’t know what goes on her brain. I am wondering if she might be just very corrupt.

Wendy Shelley's avatar

Why and how can DOJ keep copies of this vital information? Seems that would allow them to continue with their nefarious plans ….? Maybe the problem is that they have it and have already made copies and distributed them to the folks we’d rather not have them!!??

Steve Krebs's avatar

I’m also astonished that DOJ can keep copies of materials that they procured wrongfully.

What gives?

Deborah J.'s avatar

I wonder if the regime plans to target the voters who didn’t vote for trump. Maybe that is one reason they stole the ballots.

DW's avatar

That's my assumption, cherry pick certain voters and bombard them with flyers and false accusations about the Democrat candidate.

If done smartly, it can be very successful. In Colorado, several years ago, wealthy Democrats attacked a ballot measure with postcards that had an image of someone standing outside and looking into a bedroom. The tagline was something like "do you want the government looking into your bedroom." The ballot measure was defeated.

patricia's avatar

the way I understand it is they can only tell IF you voted, not who you voted for...

Hayden's avatar

That’s true. However, they must be able to predict how people will vote pretty reliably.

Ally House (Oregon)'s avatar

Thanks for the update, Joyce. As someone said, the scumbuggary is astounding here.

Judith Hofeditz's avatar

Thanks for the update Joyce, very welcome news, but we haven't seen the end of this.

The entire regime needs imprisonment for life - from Demented Donnie to the junior coffee boy. They are all criminals.

Ron Bravenec's avatar

The courts can move swiftly, Joyce? Really? Does anyone not think the FBI has already made copies of the documents?

Paul Thompson's avatar

I dunno. They are so full of themselves, maybe they can't think ahead.

Brenda Pitts's avatar

Or,,, already handed them over to the little DOGE boys to upload and begin some sort of illegal crapola.

I am petrified that Eileen Cannon's so far massive fawning judicial rulings doing whatever Trump asks of her bodes no good for the future. I can imagine, in a nightmare, that Trump nominates her for an even greater position of Judgeship. Can anyone tell me I'm wrong to think she could get a Supreme Court nomination if they force either Alito or Thomas to retire? Could she even get a plumb slot at the DOJ? Maybe even the top job?

Gag me.

Hayden's avatar

They might not be able to win a Supreme Court confirmation for Judge Aileen Cannon as from what I can make out she is pretty far off from the norms of judgeship. And, they are trying to funnel all their cases to her, as no other judge may rule in their favor.

Jon Margolis's avatar

What bothers me is that the Trump government gets to keep documents it should never have had, whether or not the originals must be returned. Even with copies, Trump and his accomplices can cause no end of trouble.

DW's avatar

As always, many thanks for this update. I don't know where else I would read about it in such depth of context

Thank you Joyce. This is good news.♥️
