Surprised your cat and dog get along so well with the chickens. Thanks for the pictures. Living near the fire zone in Los Angeles, among other things has made this a tough week.

Dana, I once had a little dog who thought he was a chicken. He even went out in the yard and scratched with them. Poor little guy had an identity crisis, 4# and red curly hair. When he laid eyes on the RI Reds, it was as if he'd finally found his people. And they adopted him.

Oh! I had a blue heeler that tried that as a puppy! The chickens fully rejected and harassed her! In no uncertain terms, she was NOT welcome. Lol. Poor rejected puppy, her first experience with rejection. She tried and tried to fit into their brood.

Send your donations out West to the fire zones! American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen-Jose Andres, and Pasadena Humane Society. Give them a hand during this horrid tragedy. Going to be a long tragic road!

Pasadena Humane Society is a good charity! They are over whelmed with animals.

Volunteers have been wonderful and donations needed. Check site on internet.

Small or large! Put on credit card.

Good luck. We're hoping the best for our neighbors to the South. I'm in Santa Cruz we went through something similar a few years ago but nothing this traumatic.
