Tonight, never-Trumper Steve Schmidt, who writes The Warning on Substack, was nice enough to host me for a conversation with our subscribers. Because Zoom limits the number of people who can join, I know not all of you who wanted to were able to attend. So, we taped the conversation and you can listen to it on audio if you didn’t get to join us in real time.
Steve is a smart guy, and I always learn a lot from listening to him. I really enjoyed tonight’s conversation and I hope you will too. You can find it at any of the following places. His Substack is a great read.
Figuring out how to set up Zoom to work for these conversations is a little bit challenging, but I think, with a little assist from watching Steve’s team work, I’ve got something figured out that will work for us here at Civil Discourse at long last. Looking forward to starting out with a “Zoom Office Hours” feature for founding members in the next few weeks and seeing if it will work as planned.
I’ll be up with the chickens tomorrow (actually, I’m up with the chickens every day, but you get the point), watching as news develops from Miami and Washington, D.C. But I want to leave you with an extremely smart thread by former DOJ spokesperson, Anthony Coley, on Twitter.
Only a few people at DOJ know precisely where the special counsel’s investigations are headed. This is a good time for us to study up on the basics and learn about some of the issues that may come into play. But none of us know when, where, or what for certain. We’ll find out when an indictment is unsealed and publicly reported.
We’re in this together,
Joyce
Thank you for making transcripts available. Some of us are better with written discourse, rather than verbal.
Thank you for the excellent reminder that the leaks are not coming from this DOJ, just another cash grab opportunity for the con man, I hope a gag order accompanies charges when they come.
