Six hours on a voter protection hotline here in Michigan today. People are fired up and eager to vote. They understand the assignment.

That IS good news.

Do your chicks practice safe sex and can they get abortions?

Have a blessed and peaceful holiday, Joyce!

LOL. It works different for the birdies, you know!

Expand full comment

It's even worse: they're eating the eggs - of the chicken that live there!

Bill, I am not a bird scientist, but let's see, how would that abortion be performed! Ha!

JD Vance would like to answer.

Verrrrrry carefully. <g>

simple just drop the egg on the way into the house, the other chickens will clean up the mess, simple as that.

Trump and vance being thrown behind bars tonight would be a good way for soo many to ring in the new year...a good way to start the justice and peace. *Has a silly stupid smile on face dreaming of it..*

Trump's consciousness of guilt does not turn on whether or not he knew or even believed he won the election. That knowledge is not an element of the crime. Even if Trump actually believed he won the election, it did not, as a matter of law, justify him in leading an insurrection. The prosecutor does not have to prove that he knew or believed he lost, and the Court will not recognize a defense that he sought to fraudulently overthrow the election because he actually thought he won.

Furthermore, even if Trump actually did win the election, it also did not justify him in provoking a siege of the Capitol, causing numerous deaths, and creating fraudulent Electors to scam the public into believing they were valid Electors to vote him into office.

In all these instances, Trump's legal remedy was to pursue his claim in the courts. Oh, wait a minute! He did that - 60 times, and all 60 courts found no evidence of fraud, as did his own Attorney General.

Trump's acts to steal the election were not in furtherance of his duties of the President of the United States. They were the acts of a common criminal intending to steal the most valuable component of our cherished democracy, and no amount of judicial dissembling and double-talk can camouflage such criminality with a cloak of immunity.

Trump lost 60 suits of 62 but won one in Pennsylvania in which a judge ruled voters had 3 days after the election to provide proper ID and "cure" their ballots.

There was another one (the 62nd) in which there was a ruling that the observers had been placed too far away from the ballot counters to be able to watch the count properly. I have forgotten which state that was.

Neither of the "wins" would have made any difference in the outcome.

That was in Philadelphia.

L'shana Tovah Yoter, to a better year! There's a lot to reflect upon in these Days of Awe, and I'm hoping that everybody looks deep into their hearts and finds true clarity. Wishing you and yours a sweet New Year.

It’s hard to feel celebratory this new year. So instead of Shana Tova, I offer Rabbi Abraham Gerondi's (13th century) blessing:

May the year, with its curses, end, and the (new) year, with its blessings, begin.

Good news indeed! My sister, who lives in Asheville, called me today!!! We only talked briefly, but it was wonderful to hear her voice.

Happy New Year to you, your family, & your friends!

Asheville is my hometown. I'm not there now. I'm in central NC.

It's not easy to be in Asheville right now. I hope your sister is doing OK. My cousin just texted me that Ingles (grocery store) just got power back on in N Asheville.

L'Shana Tovah!

Watching the opening segment of DWH right now and it sounds like an October SURPRISE is here! The chyron reads: "NEW FILING ALLEGES TRUMP USED "DECEIT TO TARGET EVERY STAGE OF ELECTORAL PROCESS" Sounds like Joyce is going to be amazed, flabbergasted, hopeful when she gets to the 165 pages and translates it for us!

Roe, Roe, ROE the vote! And if there is Blue Tsunami in November, we should start a bingo card on where Pork Chapo will flee to avoid jail.
