As cities get divided up in the redistricting, one of the side effects will be potentially to slow urban development, reduce resources for city centers to revitalize, and quell the voices of city-dwellers under the clamor of the suburbs for bigger and better shares, and eventually this will hurt businesses and the economy of everyone in a state, since for so many, the cities are the drivers of finance.
