On January 20, we call on our communities to organize teams, call your neighbors and classmates, and turn your back and walk out on fascism. Host mutual aid planning meetings, organize public service, but walk out to block the normal routines of power, and make the stakes real. This is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable.

An ICE agent can be prosecuted under state law if their actions fall outside the scope of their official duties or are considered unreasonable and unnecessary to fulfill those duties. Finally- the value in pursuing Epstein Files has to do with peeling away his MAGA supporters. Possibly if Trump lives so long, he can be prosecuted for Epstein and all his other crimes that are not part of his official duties.

An ICE agent can be prosecuted under state law if their actions fall outside the scope of their official duties or are considered unreasonable and unnecessary to fulfill those duties. The immunity granted to federal officers is not absolute and does not provide a "get-out-of-prosecution-free card" for criminal acts across board. It would be up to a court --- and very probably a federal court --- to decide if the actions involved fell outside of what is considered reasonable and necessary in the conduct of their duties, using the "scope of duties test." The DOJ can also prosecute but, of course, the chances of that are slim to none and slim left town a long time ago. The core issue is evidence which apparently (for now at least) is being withheld or not being shared by the feds. And while the case would likely be removed to federal court where the U.S Attorney could, with their broad discretion, move to have charges dismissed, they would still need court approval to do so. An allegation of a significant violation of state law may give a judge pause in what typically is a pretty much pro forma decision when it comes to allowing the government to dismiss charges.

I am confused -- ICE is an immigration capture and detention force. It is not law enforcement. As such, does ICE have the right to exact law enforcement measures on US citizens? I thought not.
Well, the ICE agent and family are hiding out.....they should be. The idea that the local law enforcement cannot investigate with the FBI is simply outrageous. Videos tell the whole truth; it really is simple. She was executed by this hothead. One shot through the windshield, but two directly through the window. That means he was NOT in front of the car, but on the side. Her wheels are clearly turned away from him. How the WH fanatics can look at these videos and claim one "truth" but it is clear that everything they say the videos indicate is a total lie, is simply beyond me. It is my strong belief that this murder, Epstein, Venezuela and Greenland will be the end of this regime. The mid-terms will change the tide, as many Americans have just had enough, and he and his cronies will be impeached, jailed, whatever. Never in my old life would I believe this would be happening in this country. The murders will not stop, but they're also going to start occurring against the agents. Hope they're ready.

actually I'm more in line with continuing "Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America." But we need a lot more people to open their eyes and realize where this is heading. We need leaders that are more in tune with action and "strongly worded letters" are not enough
