Doug is the best. He investigated and prosecuted the kkk bombers of the 16th Street Baptist church in Birmingham, Alabama which killed two little girls.
I lived in Georgia from 1969 to 1997 so very little of what you describe surprises me. I now live in Washington state, a mostly blue paradise geographically and politically. I am 75, retired, and living on a pension; what can I do to support Doug in Alabama, and politicians in GA??
I recently became an Alabama resident. The state’s attorney general and governor have already moved to redistrict. Is there any hope of mitigating the mass disenfranchisement of black voters that is about to happen?
The civil rights movement in particular offers vital lessons. Today’s leaders in that movement — Bryan Fair of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Lauren Groh-Wargo of Fair Fight, and Juan Proaño of LULAC — for inspiration and specific next steps.
When the distance of time and the wisdom of experience become indelibly cured into the national record, there will still be competition for the honor of who did the most to destroy American democracy. If, at that time, democracy still exists, my vote will go to Chief Justice John Roberts for his long, patient, piecemeal and incremental erosion of our constitutional bedrock. POTUS has been more explosive, but he has never been one for the long game. Roberts has run the long, strategic, effective race of the fabled tortoise.
Mr LeBaron....please add my candidate for the Benedict Arnold No-bell ( sic ) Prize Winner ....lowest of the low....mitch mconnell...!.Lower case exceedingly deliberate.
Thank you, Professor. It seems the Alabama Legislature is trying to gerrymander the state. I hope that Senator Jones is elected governor and can stop this or perhaps the current legislature understands this is unacceptable.
Doug Jones running for office again is extremely important. I look forward to this interview.

Yep, hard to dispute your nomination. Might we settle for a tie?
A hatred book with a banal cover-John Roberts
Weeping for America
I would be interested in hearing about the “ground game” Doug Jones has in mind for his campaign
Joyce, what do you think of this approach?
