Plz ask Mr. Harris if his campaign has a infrequent Dem. voter address list they can turn into a postcard campaign with Markers for Democracy. Markers for Democracy have a very fast turnaround once campaigns are available. I do not know who to contact there. General email is markersfordemocracy@gmail.com I run a club and could get 400 written in a week.
My organization, Women for American Values and Ethics (WAVE), has supported M4D in prior postcard campaigns. We could help get another 1000 out in a week as well! Please nudge the campaign again, we will too! - Amy
Can you make your group known to Heather Cox Richardson - she has a huge following and can let other candidates know about you & hopefully get others to sign up for your group.
I'd also recommend Postcards to Voters, postcardstovoters.org. They're based in North GA, and may be able to recruit writers from that region who will have shorter mailing times.

Thank you Georganne, and thank you Joyce! MFD writes postcards to get out the vote in down ballot races and has weekly zoom get togethers, check out our website! And I hear that Postcards To Voters will be launching a campaign for him very soon!
I saw the interview Paul Rieckhoff did with Shawn on the Independent Veterans podcast a few months ago. I was very impressed with Shawn. He said he has many Republican friends who want to vote for him and they asked him to run as Republican. Shawn told them he wanted to be true to his politics, as a Dem. We need more vets like him, perhaps that will bring back the trust in government that doesn't exist right now.
Thank you for everything you do - I love seeing photos and videos of your animals or anyone else's because they ground me. Democrats need to dig in. We, absolutely, need to take back both the House and the Senate.
On our calendar. Shawn is so interesting. We can really visualize Shawn standing up to little Mike Johnson and interrogating Hegseth in an Armed Services Committee hearing!
I live in Athens, GA. Even though he’s in a different district I fervently hope he wins! Although I’m not a GA native I’ve lived here since 1996 and love everything about it EXCEPT for the Republican majority. Every time MTG said or did something outrageous, I think it was a disgrace to the whole state.
Hey, Mary, I live in upstate New York, and I too fervently hope he wins! I'm also hoping Blake Gendebien, who is a farmer and a Democrat running to succeed Ellise Stefanik and become my House representative and actually represent me, will prevail in November!
Shawn Harris. Good man. Thank you Joyce for sharing the news of his primary win and for highlighting his candidacy. Thank you Shawn and family for counting your blessings and for your understanding that many of us are blessed and too stressed. All the very best to all of you.
I'm so excited about his candidacy and look forward to your interview of him. I've contributed several times to his campaign already as I'm so impressed with him. What a gift he would be to congress.
I live in the north Georgia district adjacent to his. His is one of if not the most republican/MAGA districts in the state. He did remarkably well, no doubt about it, but has to be considered a long shot in the general. If he wins, November will be beyond a blue wave or even tsunami—it will be a Noah type flood. Fingers crossed.
The title of the article on the UK’s “Independent” (on Friday March 13, 2026) ……
”Once again, Trump has put Putin before the West” ……
should be changed to ……
“Putin’s Puppet Trump Props Up His Puppet-Master Putin”
“By lifting sanctions on Russia’s shadow fleet of oil tankers, the US president has brought Moscow back from the brink of economic ruin, says Sean O’Grady” - (O’Grady is the Associate Editor and a prominent columnist for “The Independent”)
Points to consider:
Very recently, our compromised President lifted sanctions on Russia’s oil. Now, billions of dollars are flowing into Putin’s pockets, further fueling Putin’s unconscionable war against Ukraine. Compromised Trump has done absolutely nothing to stop Putin’s aggression. Just to the opposite, Trump has disrupted and inflicted great damage on NATO, the alliance the US founded with its Western European allies to prevent world wars.
Everyone with a brain knows damn well that Putin back-channeled hundreds of millions to fund Trump’s presidential campaigns and provided thousands of trolls to spread Trump-supporting propaganda on Fox News, NewsMax, Breitbart, OANN and on Tick-Tock, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc., etc. Putin did that to install his compromised puppet, Trump, in our White House. Heaven only knows how much dirt Putin has on Trump!
Anyone who’s read any of the books about Trump’s real estate dealings knows that Trump would have gone completely bankrupt had it not been for hundreds of millions of dollars laundered through his real estate projects by Russian Mafia and Russian Oligarchs, all of whom were directed to do so by Putin.
As Sean O’Grady put it, “by far the biggest winner in Donald Trump’s disastrous war on Iran is Vladimir Putin. Or, more precisely, the Russian war machine he commands.” “…… Russia’s economy was suffering badly from the strains of sanctions and war. At some point, it would no longer be able to support its war of attrition in Ukraine. Trump fixed Putin’s problem.
Timing is everything. Documents recently released (which were previously, and intentionally, hidden before the DOJ was compelled to release them) from The Epstein files showed allegations by a 13 or 14 year-old child that Trump sexually abused her. Two days later, Trump gives orders to launch “Operation Epic Fury”, more aptly titled, “Operation Epic Furious Epstein Files Distraction”. Only several days later, Trump gives orders to remove sanctions on Putin’s oil. Putin is now enjoying a financial bonanza.
O’Grady put it this way, “it is hapless citizens in the West buying petrol and heating their homes who are fueling the continuing attacks on civilians in Ukraine. The ‘peace president’ has thus not only been dragged into a quagmire of a conflict in the Middle East, which he vowed never to enter, but has also helped Putin prolong his own war of aggression in Ukraine. Trump boasts that: ‘The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money.’ Of course, ‘we’ in this context means the US oil companies, rather than the American people. The average American is now paying more to fill up the pickup, more to warm their homes, and, in due course, when the effects fully feed through, more for their groceries and pretty much everything else. That, of course, is on top of the tariffs, i.e, import taxes, he’s already imposed on everything America brings in from the outside world – lumber from Canada, cars from Germany, Barbie dolls from China. It’s all going up, up, up. What a humiliation the US president has brought upon America for its 250th birthday.”
Compromised Trump; Putin’s Puppet and America’s Disgrace.
I realize there is a lot of excitement about Chris Harris taking the lead. However, looking at the voting results all the republicans received about 60,000 votes, and Harris received about 40,000 for a total of 100,000 votes. Thus, Harris received about 40% of the total votes and all the republicans received about 60%. In the next election if all the republicans who voted were to vote for his republican opponent, Harris will come out short. I very much hope this is not the case and many of the republicans vote for Harris.
You’re exactly right. I grew up in that district and have lived most of my life in Georgia, and he doesn’t have a chance in this race. If half the Republicans who voted vote for the second-place candidate, Trump’s pick, Harris will lose. He might have a chance if he runs again in November, but probably only if things are really bad by then and we have a blue wave of enormous proportions. If anyone is donating to him for this race, they’re throwing their money away. Jon Ossoff has a much better chance running statewide. He could use your donations.

Can you highlight these two groups? If they can work that fast every D campaign should know about them.
I'd also recommend Postcards to Voters, postcardstovoters.org. They're based in North GA, and may be able to recruit writers from that region who will have shorter mailing times.

I hope they still vote for him and work for him, that’s what being a true friend means, regardless of labels.
Love the mom and baby calf. This would truly be a victory to replace MTG with a real human who cares about democracy.

Honestly, if you did bullet points I'd read this. Not lazy just too busy to read super long comments.
Go General Harris 💯👍👍👍
But does he have chickens?? If not, well.....
;)
We have good candidates and good people, if there is a god, he will win, but not without all of us helping. I am donating!
Best of luck to General Shawn Harris! DONATE TO HIS CAMPAIGN!
