I listen to a lot of history podcasts and one of the most prized and historically valuable finds for historians is letters and journals. They are a goldmine of the average persons experiences and thoughts about the era they live in. I think that it's a good idea to write things down and try to articulate what is happening to our country and what it feels like for us on a daily basis.
Future historians will thank you and we may just be able to go around the MAGA destruction of history by crowdsourcing the truth not unlike the people who memorized books in Fahrenheit 451. If you write it down on paper it will be safe from digital obliteration.

I don’t believe Trump can erase history. He can TRY, but there are historians, journalists, and many others (like you Joyce), who will continue to tell the truth.
Maybe Fox viewers are brainwashed, but there’s a hell of a lot more people who aren’t.
It is imperative however, that MAGA is not allowed to be in power after Trump leaves. The movement must be stopped.

Plus, there are millions of people living outside the US who watched the insurrection live on TV. World leaders who saw it happen in real time. George Orwell lived in a time when it was easier to distort the truth & there was no such thing as 24 hour CNN, social media & email. I hope & pray that makes a difference.

I honestly do not see how they can erase that from the millions upon millions of American citizens who have witnessed his corruption since 2015. "They" cannot erase our clear eyed memories that we have memorialized; as well as our children's (most now having reached or reaching voting age) memories that have witnessed the same horrors right along with their grandparents and parents this vile and abhorrent regime's behavior and let me tell you they are repulsed by it. I frequently tell my grandaughter it is her generation and the generations to come after that will change our world for the better and I look forward to what they will accomplish. :)
