My wife is a NICU nurse. We are both Christians, but both understand that abortion is like chemotherapy. I hate it when close minded people — whether for religious or political reasons (or both) — try to make the claim that liberals (or whatever group they are trying to “high horse” just “love abortion”.

Look, nobody LOVES abortion. Nobody LOVES chemotherapy. Sometimes that treatment option might be the best option that a particular person in their specific situation feels they have, and I don’t feel that is anyone else’s right to dictate that decision, especially when you have NO idea all of the dynamics and factors that may play into.

if you are 100% against an abortion no matter what, then hey YOU don’t get one. And pray you never find yourself in a situation where that isn’t the best possible option for you or someone you care about. But I sure wish people would stop acting like Pharisees, worrying about making sure everyone else meets their own personal moral code for acceptable behavior by taking away options for people in situations they can’t even begin to imagine.

I see the issue of abortion too often used by religious hypocrites to abuse other people and make themselves look righteous, and that is the very kind of person Jesus absolutely could not stand.

So if you consider yourself a Christian, then remember he offered grace and forgiveness and healing to the marginalized. He didn’t stand with the religious hypocrites that withheld those things from the ones who needed them most. And whether you are a Christian or not, someone else’s medical situations and decisions are none of your dang business.

There is no longer any way this particular Supreme Court judge should be trusted any further than he could be thrown. For that matter, the rest of the Supreme Six can’t either and have given up any semblance of being impartial adjudicators when it comes to women’s rights.
