where Justice should have stood" -Bruce Springsteen's "Streets Of Minneapolis" helped me make it through the aftermath of Pretti's tragic murder. God bless the bystanders who shared videos so that People could know the truth about our fallen heroes. Here's hoping one day Justice will stand again on snowy streets of our land.
Other performers are commenting about the sad state of affairs in the country. Lucinda Williams, Friday night, walked on stage to Woody Guthrie’s “This Land..” She also played covers of Marley’s “So Much Trouble in the World”, Harrison’s “While my Guitar..” and closed with Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World”. There also was a cover of “We’ve Come Too far to Turn Around.” The musicians shall help us thru.
Springsteen, and you Joyce by extension, are a reminder that if we are to stay in this fight we must find joy in our lives. With sincere thanks for sharing your experience. Barbara
Bruce embodies the REAL understanding of The People and how we feel - consistently with his expression. We all need to translate that into action, which with respect to our elections, needs to be PROTECTIVE action. Here is a ‘Doable Plan’ To Practically Protect The Midterm Elections:
Phil, This document offers a most comprehensive antidote to the Regimes’s anticipated plans to quash free and fair elections. I hope everyone on this thread will join me in making a concerted effort to ensure this hugely valuable resource receives broad attention.
Thank you, Barbara for reading through and commenting on it. We have submitted it to some of the prominent organizers but without reply as of yet. More of them should at least have it for a centralized reference even if they are already focused on portions of the plan. Your ‘ask’ in your comment is certainly a patriotic help in hopefully getting those strategies widely implemented!
As a co-Founder and co-Leader of a local Indivisible chapter, I have strong contacts with our State’s Indivisible board. I will send the board this plan and encourage them to pass it to Indivisible National’s co-Executives.
Memorial Day service in Stillwater MN. My sign said “take back Democracy, Decency, Morality”. 2 separate big, burly guys affronted me: politics is disrespectful for those who died. Yet more veterans and citizens thanked me and my intimidated heart that was a poundin!
There is a time and place for things. Honoring our fallen is sacred. I also applaud as a vet the very real need in this time to remind that politics is why our soldiers die for “democracy, decency, and morality” as a just cause of a nation. It is a sad honor to know we have to fight and some gave the ultimate sacrifice to hold onto the most precious of our Nation. “We hold these truths to be self evident…”.
This is true strength and courage that Bruce sings about in adversity to find the good!
Wonderful, soul-restoring music 🎵 🎶. You deserved that experience, Joyce! Music is the dimension that we sorely need right now to inspire and motivate us as we work hard to save our democracy. Power to the People! 🎶🎵

Wonderful Joyce. Bruce is amazing and such a great human being. I was lucky to see him here in Los Angeles. Glad you had a blast.
He’s an absolute legend and a treasure to watch and enjoy every time. His concerts are a joy
We’ve only seen him once in concert, and that was in Phoenix this year….an amazing experience
Joyce, you and Bruce remind us every day that giving up is unforgivable.

Remember Foggartys " I ain't no Senators Son". Listen to those lyrics and think of bone spurs.

He performed that song on Colbert's show, bringing tears to the eyes of the audience. Getting to see it live: priceless.
Yes, James I too saw him sing at Stephen Colbert's last night on His show. I will miss him.
Thanks for sharing the Joy.
Joyce, your commentary is right on 👍 as always!

Barbara - That is exactly what is needed. ✌️
What a wonderful experience! My brother, his wife, and one of their daughters were there. I cannot wait to hear what they have to say, too.
I saw him perform in Dallas many years ago. He will always be The Boss.

thanks for your courage
Good for you, saw the Boss in Pittsburg last week. He definitely fills the tank that somedays runs on fumes..
So happy for you Joyce! I’m glad you were able to take some time for enjoyment and got to see The Boss! I am a little jealous though.
Great! A Mid-week concert, what a treat, and Bruce Springsteen! Can't do better than that to add a little hope and optimism to one's life!
Thank you Bruce.
