Thanks as always for your updates. It is otherwise difficult to find this information in a coherent summary.

Your updates are clear, especially to a non-legal scholar, and that is so very much appreciated! I sometimes get lost in the legalese but your assessment makes it so much easier to understand. Thanks!

A kindred spirit! I too am an illegal scholar, JM, and I work very hard to maintain my status, legality be damned. Why, even many of my closest acquaintances do not recognize me as a scholar; I daresay I have convinced some of them that I am a buffoon. But I agree, just between us, Joyce makes me smarter every day. (Thanks, Joyce!)

important to shine a spotlight on prevarication and underhanded dealings- no matter who it is

Sadly, this shining has turned into a 24/7 job.

What’s going on? What is always going on with everything trump touches: Always, the explanation is that the creature is crashingly stupid, limitlessly greedy, sadistically cruel, and pathologically narcissistic — and he is an expert on ferreting out who is equally stupid, greedy, and cruel to stroke his rampant narcissism and carry out his sick projects. Why is anyone still asking, ’what is going on?'

93clementine, in addition to all the things you have named and probably making all of those characteristics worse is the presence of significant dementia. Trump is now getting stuck on the smallest ideas that he is fed or somehow comes up with himself and runs on them as though they are great ideas. I think that is what happened with this stupid war on Iran. There is no planning, no understanding, no anything that makes sense about it, but already a lot of deaths. Appalling!

That old bromide - “All lawyers lie” - is now apparently DoJ policy. MAGA *has* influenced the country to lie at will, insult and taunt, bring the barnyard to the schoolyard.

It is our good fortune that with very few exceptions, judges, no matter who appointed them, have been holding those lawyers feet to the fire and upholding the law. Bar associations nationwide should be policing their ranks more diligently.

David J. Sharp's avatar

Yes! Federal judges have become our guardrails! As to bar associations, Bondi is trying to move the goalposts again by trying to disallow them from proceeding in investigations and potential disbarments.

!!! Hear that bar associations!

I am not a lawyer so I truly appreciate your words which help me undertand

these complex issues. Thank you for doing this.

It gives me hope that we will be able to have some regime change this fall.

thanks

Thanks for the Fulton County update. One suspects they may drag this out until the judge rules that Evans must testify and then they will drop the case and keep their copy of the files.

In another election interference story, Yunior Rivas at the Marc Elias-founded Democracy Docket reported on the serial DOJ blunders trying to get the Washington state voter roles. DOJ failed to properly serve the WA Secretary of State, the Secretary of State waived the requirement of service and DOJ seemed not to be aware of that and then DOJ tried to refuse the waiver and insist that they required acknowledgment of service. They risk the court dismissing the case and imposition of sanctions.

Their malice seems to be outweighed by their incompetence.

Can’t wait for March 27th….On another topic, with “Hopsbreath” barring photographers during his briefings, I think a sketch artist could do a drawing of “Sonic the Hedgehog” and that would give us an accurate picture…resemblance is uncanny.

Many thanks, Joyce, for so skillfully sorting and explaining the details of what Fulton County is up against.

You may have explained this in another piece, but I must have missed it. I do not understand why the DOJ would be entitled to keep a copy of all these voting records if the court finds that the warrant should never have been issued.

Please make this make sense!

MAGA has had years to pull together enough scumbag attorneys to weasel through the law and find every crumb they can possible extract for diverting if not preventing action against them. They keep getting more creative. Delay delay delay. Keep everything from coming before a judge. And President Peace makes less sense every day. If his lips are moving, he's lying. Now his buds the Saudis are pissed because they have been shot at and they did not have an entry in this fight. All that money and airplane that came to him from that area from his "friends" turns out to be totally ignored. SMH

Thanks for keeping us so well informed.

Maybe Special Agent Evans should have protection. Someone higher up may want him out of the picture. (This is how the administration is making me think.)

I made my later comment before reading yours. Great minds, I guess.

I always feel I’ve learned something new after reading your letters. Thank you so much. Keep educating us! My best to the girls. 🐥

Never mind the efforts to muzzle the people by making "antifa" (a non-organization) into a "domestic terrorist" group, and claiming people who protest are members of that group. This is exhausting, but we must keep pushing back. Thanks to Fulton County for bearing this torch and throwing light on their issues. Keep March 28 on your calendars; next No Kings march. If you can't find one near you, now may be a good time to organize one. https://www.nokings.org/

I'm wondering if they're resisting giving the ballots back because they've destroyed them...
