My friend was taken via ambulance to the Emergency Room at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC last week. (She was treated, spent a few days, and is home safe and sound). On the way to the ER the EMT, who was taking very good care of her, used a diversionary tactic he said he was trying regularly to help "change the subject" and damp down the stress of his patients. He asked my friend if she was registered to vote! She loved it. Of course she is registered to vote and is a dedicated voter, but she so appreciated that this young man was doing his civic duty while keeping her medically stable and delivering her to the hospital! This shines a light on the fact that there may not be any situation when that question is out of line.

Great billboard. The only change I’d have made to it would be to dress Tubbs in a furry costume and put a pilot’s hat on his head. Y’all really want any more of that crazy talk coming out of your Senator’s mouth when you can elect Doug Jones, a highly qualified and certifiably sane person to represent y’all in the Senate? Come on Alabama. Life has to be more than just football and Tuberville’s antics.
