Brandy Zadrozny is a senior reporter based in New York covering the internet, which means she spans beats including politics, tech, and extremism. She has reported on online communities and influencers that secretively shape media, culture, and politics in the U.S, like her 2020 reporting on QAnon. She examines the online activities of far-right politicians and extremists, the mis- and disinformation that powers their movements, and the people and organizations who profit.
I read every word she writes. In an era of disinformation, Brandy is one of my antidotes for that poison.
So you can imagine how pleased I was to be on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” with her earlier this week, discussing election interference. But, alas, the segment was not long enough. I had more questions when it was over! Brandy was nice enough to take time out of her incredibly busy pre-election weekend to answer five more of them for us tonight.
I have to confess—Brandy sent me a serious photo to use, but this one, that she explained she uses to troll people who call her an out-of-touch elite media hack was too good to not share.
The photo gives you the measure of the reporter. You’re about to get some frank, thoughtful, real answers to difficult questions. No gloss here. If you, like me, want to keep up with what Brandy writes, you can find her latest pieces here on the NBC News website.
